All I know about William Askew is that he was a prominent landowner and religious conservative, and it was he who was responsible for arranging the marriage between Anne and Thomas Kyme after the death of Anne's elder sister, Marta, who was due to marry Kyme. The marriage was unhappy, due to the couple's religious differences. You can read more about Anne and her background at https://www.theanneboleynfiles.com/anne-askew-sentenced-to-death/5753/
William Askew died in 1541, four years before Anne was first arrested, and I have been unable to find any record of correspondence between her and her father and any mention of religious disputes, although these were bound to have happened with the two of them holding such different religious views.
