I have recently read on a website about “Alternative Anne Boleyn”….a link from a post on this website…..that states “Ives also poignantly reports that King Henry kept, until his death, a tablet of gold bearing the monogram ‘HA’, set with small emeralds, pearls and one diamond.” Is this confirmed? Or becuase it is Ives it is taken as well researched and fact? Becuase if it is fact I believe that says alot about how Henry truly felt about Anne…

Eric Ives always fully references his work, which is great for those who want to check his sources or do further research, and the reference for this fact is "The Inventory of Henry VIII" edited by David Starkey, a list of all of the possessions of Henry VIII at his death in 1547. Hope that helps.

I didn’t know that.. I thought Henry had everything related to Anne destroyed. Maybe he couldn’t bring himself to destroy this tablet!
