On the 24th June 1509, King Henry VIII and his new wife, Catherine of Aragon, were crowned at Westminster Abbey.

What a joyous occasion this must have been, the crowning of a young king and queen, who by all accounts, were much in love. Everyone in the kingdom must have had high hopes for this reign.
