I don’t think Anne was anywhere close to being the “harlot” that history and some authors make her out to be. I believe the feelings she had for the Percy boy were just innocent , growing-up types of longing. I don’t think, either, that Anne was so much in love with Henry VIII as she was respectful of him, & grateful to him for helping her attain the things she wanted. She seems to me to have been a private person. And that must have become exceedingly difficult, when she was a Queen.
