12 September 1555 – Archbishop Thomas Cranmer on Trial

Thomas CranmerOn 12th September 1555, Archbishop Thomas Cranmer’s trial opened at the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Oxford. Cranmer was charged with repudiating papal authority and denying transubstantiation.

    I am a descendent of him. On my grandfather side ( Cramner) name was switched. We are 77% from Great Britian. Do you have a genealogy line?
