In my last post, I wrote about the love letter from Henry VIII to Anne Boleyn which is being displayed at the Bristih Library. This really is a momentous occasion, the letter being temporarily back on English soil after being stored in the Vatican with 16 further love letters from Henry to Anne.

For those of you who will not be able to get to London’s British Library, here is a news report showing the letter and reading extracts from it:-



The Vatican letters of Henry VIII to Anne Boleyn really do show a different side to this monarch and confirm his real passion and love for Anne.

    I know! I have all of the letters in a book, but it’s not quite the same as seeing the real thing written in Henry’s own hand!
