  9. Claire- is there any way to get your eBook for a Nook reader? I bought a Nook instead of a Kindle because I wanted to support actual book sellers instead of Amazon. I’m dying to read your NUMBER ONE BEST SELLER (huzzah!) but I can’t find anyplace that will download it to my Nook. Any thoughts?

  11. As you know I won your book and although I have had it less than a month, it is already well worn! I’m on the 4th or 5th reading because I keep picking it up to quickly check a fact and find myself reading on and on! I am a horrible keeper of books; I love them and read them over and over whether I’m in the tub or camping or sometimes even cooking – I will set them up, put on my strong magnifying glasses and read as I stire, prepare, and otherwise try to get edible food on the table! Too often I’ve dropped books in the tub as I soak and read; I know I should take better care of them but I read ALL the time no matter what I”m doing – even watching the telly, commercials are wonderful for reading while waiting for the show to come back on. I never throw my old worn books out; I just buy new ones. I think I have 3 sets of Harry Potter, 4 of Gone with the Wind, and probably would have had about 8 To Kill A Mockingbird if a box of books had not been lost in a move!

I’ll be getting the new book when it’s released but will they ever come out in hard back? Hard back books hold ever ever so much better for destroyers of the printed word such as I am. I just got Ives book 6 months ago in soft cover and have to get a hard back asap!!

It’s terrible I know, and along with the abuse, I make notes in them, draw portraits and scenes, and write poems in them. My Frazer’s Mary Queen of Scots is holding together by duct tape; but I’ll never throw it out. If pages fall out, they are placed by in and I stop reading them in the tub then!

I apologize for abusing your book, Claire, but know I do so from addiction; I just can’t put books down no matter what I’m doing. I have two next to me now and will go between the computer and them as I try to get sleepy!

Congrats on being #1, the new book, and do keep writing!

    1. I have books that are falling apart too and it just shows how much I use them and love them. Unfortunately, it just costs too much to publish hardback books – sorry! I make notes in books too and I add post-it notes and bookmarks. When I did English lit at school and uni we were expected to write in our books so I just carried on. I have two copies of Eric Ives’s book on Anne, a clean copy which I got signed by him and a scruffy copy which is covered with notes.
      Thank you for your encouragement!
