Back in 2016, a man on eBay was claiming that a print he owned was of a portrait of Anne Boleyn and the story went viral once historian Alison Weir became involved, and now it’s happening all over again.
But is there any evidence that the sitter is Anne Boleyn? Not in my view…

I remember we debated about this portrait before and the seller cheekily advertised the AB Files to sell the prints, you soon told him where to go Claire! I cannot believe you just received a small black and white copy for your money what a rip off! Bet Tim was annoyed, actually I recall thinking originally it could be Anne as the sitter has a pair of fine eyes and a long slightly hooked nose, but it also was the initials however that did it for me, but really the ladies bone structure is much heavier than Anne’s who was known for her long oval face and high cheekbones, this lady’s face is much broader rather angular in shape, with wide thin lips, add to that the marvellous research you have done regarding the history of the costumes and information from the British museum I have come to the same conclusion you have, that it is some other woman of high rank, I would love to see the full length portrait of Anne that is said to be in a private collection somewhere and is said to be authentic to her time, maybe one day?
