I know it’s Christmas and you may have rather a lot on your plate (in more ways than one!), but I just wanted to let you know this piece of news.
Our sister site, the Tudor Society, has teamed up with British History Tours to offer Tudor history tours. Our very first tour, The Anne Boleyn Experience 2018, which is taking place in May, is fully booked, but we have just launched a new tour for September 2018, the Discover the Tudors Tour!
There is an early bird discount for the first 8 places booked, so that’s why I wanted to let you know ASAP. The first 8 places are £2800 per person, instead of £3100, a saving of £300! The tour is from 16th to 24th September.
I’m really excited about this tour, 1) Because I’m going on it, 2) Because it visits some of my very favourite places in the UK (including my hometown!), and 3) Because I will get to meet some of you lords and ladies! I can talk Tudor to my heart’s content!

Hi Patricia,
Merry Christmas to you too. A deposit (half the tour cost) is payable now to secure your place. There are two options – deposit for two people travelling together or the deposit for a single traveller. See the deposit payment options at https://www.britishhistorytours.com/history-tours/discover-the-tudors. I hope you can come!
Best Wishes,
Claire
This sounds AMAZING! I’m sorry I can’t go 🙁 , (being from Australia makes it hard), but wanted to say Merry Christmas, and thanks for a great website that I have been enjoying for years.
Thank you, that’s very kind of you! I hope you had a lovely Christmas.
How can this tour cost the amount you are charging.?
It’s a luxury 8-night tour including staying at 4 star hotels with meals, transport, visits to all of the historic sites (entrance fees), speakers, two full-time tour leaders etc. I know another Tudor tour which was a day more than this one that cost over £6000 per person, so I do think that this is value for money. It’s not a budget tour, we wanted to offer the experience of a lifetime. I’m really excited about going on this, I can’t wait.
Merry Christmas everyone me all best wishes for the New Year.
The Anne Boleyn Files is the Brightest out there for Tudor history…and we all know who to thank for that. Have a good one Claire and Tim
*Brightest Star…
Ah, you’re lovely, that’s so kind of you to say. Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
Ha ha, the only only ones who get a “merry Christmas” back, are the ones who can probably afford to go on this trip.
?
I do try to keep up with comments but don’t see every one so sorry about the late “Merry Christmas”. I did do a Merry Christmas message and video as I knew I’d miss answering people’s comments, it’s a busy time. Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
