Anne Boleyn Colouring Competition Results

Manjana’s winning entry

Thank you so much to all those who entered the Anne Boleyn Colouring Competition, I thoroughly enjoyed looking through all the entries, they were wonderful.

Our 5 judges each picked their three favourites and then a winner was chosen based on those results. The winning entry was coloured by Manjana Kavazović – congratulations to Manjana who wins a set of Henry VIII and his Six Wives Drink Charms. Runners-up were Tara Ball and Kristy MacDougall.

If you didn’t hear about the competition, then let me explain. Entrants had to colour a picture that was taken from The Life of Anne Boleyn Colouring Book, a beautiful picture of Anne Boleyn at her coronation by Dmitry Yakhosky. Entrants could be as traditional or creative as they liked and could use any media they liked apart from digital colouring. The entries really were wonderful.

  1. Very beautiful. Congratulations Manjana. I hadn’t noticed when seeing this image only in black and white but this drawing of Anne bears more than a passing resemblance to Genevieve Bujold!

  2. It does Michael, maybe the artist based his illustrations on her, the drawing does have Bujolds elfin features.

    1. Oh, I actually didn´t 🙂 I have never heard of Genevieve Bujold until now. I´m only 19 years old, and as I can see on the internet she played Anne in 1969, long before my time. But I too see the resemblance, though I can assure you it was purely unintentional. That´s simply the way I draw.

      1. Hi Manjana. Genevieve Bujold is a French Canadian actress. She was 29 at the time so very close to Anne’s actual age.

  3. If anyone, gets to UK. Hever castle is well worth a visit. It has wonderful grounds, a deep and wide moat and a lovely atmosphere. And maze and an amusing water jet attraction The day i went- a number of years ago, The sky was filled with numerous colorful hot air balloons. truly magical.
