Yes I have also read about one countrie/ countries and I thought it could be Norway or Iceland where St Nicholas or whatever he’s called leaves coals in the stockings for naughty children, and the good are rewarded with sweets, all countries have their own festive traditions and really it is an old pagan myth dating pre Christianity where ancient folk decorated their homes with greenery as it symbolised the fruitful earth, but over the centuries it became entwined with the birth of Jesus and is a powerful symbol of his birth and love and sacrifice to mankind, Spanish festive tractions sounds fun Claire it is always interesting reading how other countries celebrate the festive season.
