Breaking news – It has just been announced that Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry in 2011. The statement from Clarence House read:-
“The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.
The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family.
Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father.
Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.”
It’s wonderful news and I can’t wait to see the wedding on TV next year. Congratulations Prince William and Kate!
One interesting fact about this royal couple, who are destined to one day be King and Queen, is that both William and Kate are descended from Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne Boleyn, through her daughter Catherine Carey. I am so happy for these two. Can’t wait to see the wedding on TV. I just wish Princess Diana was here to celebrate with them.

I cried when i read about the ring. How special and thoughtful of him.
I hope they leave her alone but i doubt it.

They seem to make a wonderful couple and I know Diana is looking on, pleased as punch that her son will (hopefully) have a much happier marriage than she did. I got up early to watch Charles and Diana’s wedding and will do the same for ‘Wales’ & ‘Kate’.
Spring or summer? How exciting would it be if the wedding coincided with the tours? I think I would die of jealousy.
Let’s just hope the media does not go completely insane as it did with Diana – the poor woman never caught a break.
I also hope that the two of them will be happy, and that lessons were learned by William from watching his unhappy parents.
