On this day in Tudor history, 10th January 1480, Margaret of Austria, Princess of Asturias, Duchess of Savoy, was born.
Margaret was the daughter of Maximilian of Austria, Holy Roman Emperor, and Mary of Burgundy, and, in 1507, her father appointed her as Governor of the Habsburg Netherlands as regent for her nephew, Charles. It made her head of a an important Renaissance court, a court that a young Anne Boleyn joined in the summer of 1513.

I am interested to know what you think of the argument made here: https://tudorfaces.blogspot.com/2022/11/anne-boleyn-reconsideration-of-1507-as.html
I wasn’t entirely convinced, and later in the author’s new book about Anne he writes about things such as how she supposedly attracted the attention of Francis I in 1515-20, and if she was born in 1507 that would be a little strange…anyway, interested in your view of this discussion.
