Elizabeth will be talking to us about the Elizabeth and Thomas Seymour scandal, the subject of her book “The Temptation of Elizabeth Tudor” and something which has been brought to life recently in the Starz series “Becoming Elizabeth”.
Elizabeth will explore what we know about Thomas Seymour and Elizabeth in 1547 and 1548, what we know about Elizabeth’s relationship with Thomas Seymour, and whether Seymour sexually abused her and wanted to marry her. It will be a fascinating talk and Elizabeth will also be participating in a Q&A session with us.

Dr Elizabeth Norton is a British historian, specialising in the Tudors and the queens of England.
She is the author of twelve books, including “The Temptation of Elizabeth Tudor” and “The Lives of Tudor Women”. She regularly works as a historical consultant and appears on television, including recently in the BBC’s “The Boleyns, A Scandalous Family”. She was recently a finalist on the Christmas version of University Challenge, as part of Hertford College, Oxford’s notable alumnae team.
