I to love greenery to me the old decs are the best and I love to think that my house resembles a Tudor house at Christmas time, I bought several long boughs from Amazon last year and packs of white poinsettias with wiring attached, these are placed in the boughs and then twinkling lights are added, i place them round the bannisters and the landing, round the mirrors and even round my television, as it’s wall mounted it does stay on, I have some lovely xmassy scented candles and diffusers of cloves cinnamon gingerbread and citrus and spruce tree too, everyone says how welcoming my home is at Xmas, I think coloured tinsel is alright and it’s the individuals choice, but to me I think evergreen boughs look more classy and of course it’s traditional, my tree is a fibre optic one and so no decorating is less a chore, mind you I do find it fun decorating trees and I have the old bauble and nutcracker I hang on, but it’s lovely just to erect the tree turn on the lights and there it’s finished, I must say I like the way you just throw the Santa hat on your tree Claire, it does look funny.
