12th May 1536 – Norris, Weston, Brereton and Smeaton Go to Trial

On the 12th May 1536, Sir William Kingston, the Constable of the Tower of London, escorted Henry Norris, Sir Francis Weston, William Brereton and Mark Smeaton along the Thames by barge and brought them to the bar of the special commission of oyer and terminer at Westminster Hall. There, they were arraigned for high treason.
