What do you think about Helena Bonham Carter as Anne Boleyn? I know the film “Henry VIII” made up a lot of scenes, but… Do you think the actress did a good job? Did she capture something of Anne’s personality?

  1. Helena Bonham Carter played Anne in the tv series of Henry V111 along with Ray Winstone, it was a most unlikely casting of both actors I believe, Winstone spoke with a c*ckney accent and Carter was described as a disgrace, I have to agree it was not her finest hour, all she did was tut and showed none of the strong personality panache and style that Anne was famous for.

    1. I watched a couple of clips of Ray Winstone as Henry and just couldn’t face watching it because of the accent. It sounds like I didn’t miss much!

  2. I love Bonham Carter’s Portrayal of Anne Boleyn. Even though the series has its historical inaccuracies, she really did a good job playing as Anne Boleyn. For me, she showed how confident, smart, witty and charismatic Anne Boleyn is- by the way she moves, talks and her acting overall. She even showed the playful and kinda flirty style of Anne Boleyn.
