Recent Review – The Boleyn King by Laura Andersen

The Boleyn KingThose of you who love Tudor themed historical fiction may be interested in reading my review of the first book in Laura Andersen’s Boleyn Trilogy, The Boleyn King. It is an alternative history set in the reign of King Henry IX, son of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, and is the perfect mix of history, romance and intrigue. I highly recommend it.

You can read my review on our Tudor Book Reviews blog where I have also reviewed David Loades’ biography of Jane Seymour and many other history books, fiction and non-fiction.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to add it to my “Headless Book Covers” board on Pinterest!

  1. It sounds like a nice book, i like fiction books. I wish she can write a book on Henry 9 son of katherine and Henry titled Spanish tudor king. Another one would be on king Edward vi and Jane Grey as his queen consort, their marriage and children.

    1. There’s a very good series, I think by Lee Jenkins, called Catherine the Inquisitor, about if their son Henry had lived more than 52 days, Anne the Saint about if Elizabeth had been a boy, and Jane the Confidante about if she had lived after Edward’s birth, they are all very good and I would recommend them.

  2. I’m just about to buy this book; after reading about it on here it sounds amazing and I can’t wait to read it!!
