It's a book called The Tudor Chronicles by Susan Doran.  It cronicles the entire Tudor period from beginning to end.  It has all the good portraits, and gives a detailed account of each monarch's reign.  It should be a good read and a great source of reference.

I also got a novel called Agincourt by Bernard Cornwell which I am also anxious to read.

When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

I don't know exactly how much my parents paid for it.  I'm trying to post a link to the Amazon site, but everytime I hit post the link disappears.  Anyway, I will try to get this book read as quickly as possible, and I'll post my thoughts on it.

When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

I've seen that in stores; it's really huge and heavy and expensive!  You lucky, lucky thing!  I got the first three books in the Matthew Shardlake series by C J Sansom.  I'm looking forward to starting them over the holidays; what could be better than murder/mysteries set during Henry's reign?!

I got an Anne-themed present too, an Anne French Hood! Yay! 🙂 I think I'll look for the Tudor Chronicles-thanks for mentioning.

I have this book and its amazing !!!!  I stumbled across it in a shop we have in the UK called 'The Works' (its like a cheap bookshop that sells all sorts of books and stationary things)

Anyway I think the inside cover showed something like £25, but i got it for £4.99, so i snapped it up!!!!!!  Its deifnatly worth getting a copy for reference alone !

It arrived today. I paid $40 cnd including P&P and taxes.

I haven't done much more than flip through it because of all the pictures. It looks like it devotes a couple of pages to the significant events of each calender year from 1485 to 1603.

It's going to have to wait for a day or two before I get round to reading it though…

It's always bunnies.

I just placed my order for Susan Doran's Tudor Chronicles…I look forward to reading it while listening to Motets from a Royal Choirbook which I also purchased (I adore the music made during this period). Laugh

Sounds good. I'll have a look around my local 'The Works' and see if I can find it! I got 'The Sisters who would be Queen' for £2 in one of those bargain book places, drfinately worth looking round them!

Must look out for that. I haven't much in the way of early music.
