Neil, that is such a fantastic list and made my day. Thanks! I laughed (but not too much)!

BTW, I love ABBA, so I could see how these songs fit into the story line.

Thanks DOB, I realise this will be lost on non ABBA fans and they will think I'm mad, but I hope ABBA fans can see the fun in this.

The idea came to me last night and took me about 10 minutes to do, so don't tell PG how easy it is, she might well do it!

Great work Neil. I am grateful that Mamma Mia! hit the stage first cause I could see this being seriously considered (cause if you can have an opera about Jerry Springer anything is up for grabs) if the ABBA songs weren't already locked up. I'm not familiar with the non singles you included but the titles alone are very appropriate. Just one suggestion perhaps in the court scene involving Anne there could be a number by the Lords based on I Kissed The Teacher but reworded to You Kissed Your Brother.

Cheers for that Neil, fantastic work that's just brightened up my day!!!!!!!

Not a huge ABBA fan (some of their stuff is horribly catchy though!) yet I can picture the whole thing so well.  It almost feels like there's something slightly wrong about that….  Laugh

Bravo, Neil!  I love ABBA, and you did a bang-up job of setting the music to the scenes.

This is excellent!! I'm just worried now that PG will actually invent something like this…

I wish to confess to you and tell you my secret, which is that I am no angel. -Queen Elizabeth I

BB- I didn't realise but there was a very shocked lady sitting behind me! We both got off the train together where she tried to give it back to me- I couldn't take it- I told her she was welcome to it but that it was a terrible book with zero accuracy and despite that very little imagination!

She thanked me, but I think she thought I was deranged!Smile

Maybe I am deranged…Confused

Nah, you're fine. Or in good company, anyway.

Deranged? How? This sounds sensible to me! Pity that trains are only so big…

I'm so glad I have your agreement! I would love to ask PG if she has ever read anything to do with the subjects in her horrible novels! She seems to pick a name and just run with her imagination. How did anything by her ever get published?!Yell

Ok- that was good to ventWink!

That's not even the most annoying part. There are elements of TOBG that I honestly liked. Namely the way she created the atmosphere of Tudor life. Despite the bad history, she draws readers in. She's not the worst writer I've ever seen, which really bugs me because I often think what TOBG could have been if she'd stuck to the facts!

I absolutely agree with you Beth- the atmosphere was spot on in TOBG (so annoying that she did NO research on the facts)- I actually Embarassed have the book at home Embarassed . Oh God, I should be stoned to death by all good Tudor fans. Including myself.

Yes!- if only trains were bigger! I think it was the “novel” about Princess Elizabeth… I have actually been able to block it from my memory!
