Are there any fans of Mare Antoinette on here? I’m very interested and fascinated with her as I am with Anne Boleyn. I looked up info about her and google and came across marie-antoinette.org. They have a forum on there as well and I wanted to let you all know just in case there were any fans of her on here and would like to join the forum there. It’s not as active as this one but I figure if more people join there would be more activity! Let me know if any of you join :)

Hi KayKay

I’m a fan of Marie-Antoinette, I recently watched the Coppola translation of Fraser’s book on her. And while it was very superficial it peaked my interest enough to do research Marie’s life and that of her family. I think i stumled across that forum you are talking about. I didn’t join at the time, but I still may. Especially since they seem a lot calmer than the Romanov forum I stumbed across. They remind me very much of ths place in the way they coduct themselves. Lots of civil and informing debates.

Thanks for the information, KayKay. I will check out the website. Marie Antoinette is one of my favourite historical figures. I find her endlessly fascinating. I actually just returned from 5 weeks in Paris. I was fortunate to visit some places associated with her. I am working my was through Evelyne Lever’s “Marine Antoinette: The Last Queen of France.” I started it in France, but never finished it.

Next year DD1 is doing the French Revolution as part of her (Quebec) History lessons. So I expect I will be drawn into that period…just to give a world view context of course..

It's always bunnies.

I registered on the Marie Antoinette forum several months ago and there doesn’t seem to be any action on there at all. It’s pretty much dead. I think it’s really sad and I wish there were people interested in Marie Antoinette as well.
