I'm writing a novel taking place in the War of Roses, but there's a point for which I need your help: what was Cecily of York's relation with her son Richard? The only version I've read is Catherine Hermany-Vielle's, but I seriously doubt it since she stats that Cecily hated him since she suffered hell giving birth to him, because of the hump and the deformed shoulder we know are later inventions. So, what do you know about it, and in which books can I find infos? Thanks!

The only one I know of that could help is:

Cecily Neville, Duchess of York. By Frederic Miller, Agnes Vandome and John Mc Brewster.

Hope this is of some small help to you, the only thing I know is that she supported Richard's claim to be King, so I wouldn't have thought she hated him that much.

Good luck with your book.
