Hey, I'm a 29 year old Middle/Secondary English Teacher from PA.  I've been reading about the Tudors since I was around 9 or 10 years old, after I had found a book about Anne Boleyn at my grandmother's house.  I look back and realize that I had no idea who she was at the time, but that the story was so interesting, that I fell in love with it.  Years later I realized who that book had been about, and since they I have read any Tudor book I can get my hands on.  I prefer the period prior to Elizabeth, but I've read several books on her as well.  I wish I had kept track of the books I read on this historical period, because I know it's well over 100, and I'd love to be able to look back and see the names!

Anyhow, when I'm not reading short stories or novels to teach my students, I'm completely immersed in a Tudor novel, and although I prefer the books that are a little fictional for the excitement, I still do enjoy reading informational/biiographical novels about this time period, and I'm so excited to have found this site, so that I can get ideas and suggestions from other readers! All of my friends think I'm crazy for loving books that deal w/ this time period, so it's awesome to find a site full of people who have similar reading interests!

Hi Kimbersue, welcome to the site, glad to see yet another Anne Boleyn fan on here.  This site is BRILLIANT isn't it??!!  I come on here every day for my daily dose of AB information.  I too prefer the years of Henry VIII and his wife's rather than Elizabeth, I have alsoread several novels about her, but I always seem to come back to Henry and his court.  I know exactly what you mean about reading any Tudor books I can get my hands on, I even search in charity shops and car boot sales for them when I get the chance, I have come across loads of books that way and some that I have never even seen in shops or on websites!

Anyway its good to see you on here and I look forward to hearing from you more Laugh

Welcome kimbersue. This is a great place to be. Anne fans are so nice and gracious, and have always made me feel welcome. Like you, I've been obsessed with the Tudors since I was a child. I hope you enjoy the AB files.

Hi Kimbersue,

Welcome to the AB Files, it's great to have you here and I'm so glad you found us. When I started this site I had no idea that there were so many people out there just like me, it's so wonderful to talk Tudor history here without boring people, my family's eyes just glaze over and they start yawning!
