One of the most Revolutionary things that Henry VIII did in his Reformation was to make the Holy Bible available in English for all. His timing was great, with the arrival of the printing press. Henry's version of the Bible also gave him an opportunity to colour or influence how it would be perceived have a look at this interactive image;

If it was not Henry, then I think Cromwell was the mover and shaker on this one. Both would feel at home in any “Spin” department at Westminster palace today.

I know that there are copies of Mary Queen of Scots' Death Warrant in Lambeth Palace and in Scotland. There is a letter from Henry to the Pope in 1530, signed by most Noble Men in England at the time. Here's a link;
