This site gives some really disgusting info concerning early Hygiene; but, it is also of interest to those of us reading/researching middle age history. I guess since early science had not developed to the point of understanding the importance of “cleanliness”; we will have to forgive our early family members for the way they lived. ………..Larry

PS — there is also an interesting article at the bottom of this site: “Tower of London Facts”; I don’t know how accurate it is.
