If it makes you feel better, it does it to me even when I have 1 unread post. I think it has to do with the length of time between first pressing the new post button and when it automatically resets itself.

It's always bunnies.

yes that has happened to me several times before, i think like Anyanka says it resets itself after so long  ….. its a bit of a pain sometimes, especially if you are like me and take a while in reading and replying to posts

Yeah that happens to me if I spend too much time on one post.  I try to go through all of them once, and then go back to the posts I want to read again or answer.   if I have many unread posts I'll jot down the ones I want to go back to.

I'll open up a new tab or page for each category with unread posts before I start reading through them. It will keep track of the subjects in each category since they were all opened before any were read.
