I`ve read a couple of her biographies Bloody Mary  and The First Elizabeth  so I was expecting a good story, well researched and well writen.

As Meatloaf sang `2 out of 3 ain`t bad`.

I found the action to flow well, the pacing was excellent and the main characters had depth. However there were a few details I didn`t like

spoilers whited out.

1. KP marries Edward(Ned) Burgh rather than Lord Burgh

2. KP has an adulterous affair with Thomas Seymour during the latter part of her marrriage to Lord Latimer and also while married to H8.

3. Anne Askew is now named Anne Daintry and  who was orginally her SIl . KP is held prisoner and forced to watch Anne being racked to death.

4. rumours of Elizabeth`s relationship with TS spread during H8`s reign

5. Edward VI sickly child….

It's always bunnies.

It's been around 2 years since i've read this book, but I do remember that I didn't enjoy it as much as other books I've read set in that time period.  It did allow me to learn more about K. Parr, but it just seemed to lack the “can't put it down” factor that I love in Tudor novels.
