Except unlike SWMNBN, I’ll try to be as accurate as I can, like not butchering Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I. Does anyone know of any good sources/biographies I can use as references?

Well you can’t go far wrong with reading Claire Ridgway’s books, for accurate info on Anne B. Eric ives books are good as well. David Starkey is of course the true master on the Tudors especially when it comes to Henry. His book on Elizabeth is very good too.
I wish you every success in your writing, a lot of us have taken up the pen and started writing books, because of this wonderful site.
We do have a little sister site by the way called “The Tudor Society” which has monthly author talks in our chatroom, and there are also many videos to watch about the life and times of the Tudor people.

Good luck. I don’t have the patience to write a novel. I’ve dabbled in fanfic but that’s all.

I second Boleyn’s suggestions re Claire, Starkey and Ives.

If you have an e-reader there’s a lot of good free/cheap books on Amazon

A lot of them are out of print but they are interesting as background info.

It's always bunnies.

Thanks, you two! I’m going to a bookstore (Barnes and Noble) later today anyway, so I’ll definitely keep an eye out for either of those authors. I think the first one I’ll write will be on either Richard III or the Boleyn siblings.

EDIT: I got back from B&N and they only had one book from Starkey available (Elizabeth: The Struggle for the Throne), but I’m excited to read it all the same.

I’m late, but I will add Chris Skidmore to the list. He wrote Bosworth. Dan Jones has written The War of the Roses.
