Eric Ives has written a new biography on Henry VIII. It was due to be released in October last year (I put it on my Christmas list) but it was postponed to January and then postponed again. Amazon currently have no release date for it. I'm so looking forward to a Ives' take on Henry and I wonder if anyone knows when it's due out?

Well I cannot find a thing on this book. I will certainly be watching for the release. Ive's book on Anne Boleyn is my “go to” book.

But I'd be excited to read this! Like you, Sharon, I consider his book on Anne Boleyn my “go to” Anne book. My “Anne Boleyn Bible” if you will…

No it's not that one. That was a short account published a while back. The new book it a full length biography.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this…. though I'm still waiting for Starkey to release his follow up to Virtuous Prince!

I agree with you Bella44 on both counts. I heard about Ives's new Henry bio, but not much about publication. I cannot wait until Starkey's follow-up. Virtuous Prince is on my best reads list.
