Hi, I’m Kelly I’ve been reading the articles by Claire for a long time now but only just decided to join the forums. I wasn’t sure since I don’t pretend to be more than a lover of history, i’m certainly no expert. I’ve been obsessed with the Tudors and particularly Anne Boleyn since I was 8 (now 21). Thi site has been a fantastic souce of information to find out what is fact and what is creative liscence on the part of the dramas I watched as a child.

My name is Ali and I have been history mad since I was aged 6, some 40 years on I still am, especially the Tudors and the period just after the Romans left Briton ( “King Arthur” times) My obsession with the Tudors began when we had a family trip to the Tower of London and mum told me that Queens had their heads cut off there. I wanted to know more as I love a tragedy even then. I fell in love with Lady Jane Grey and Anne Boleyn especially and use to act out being Anne going to her execution whilst dressed in mum’s wedding dress. I still love history and my other interests are potion making, the still room way to health and beauty, art, cats and vintage clothing.

Welcome Ali! Wow you’ve just brought back memories of me being 8 years old and dancing around the room in this princess dress pretending I was Anne Boleyn. I tried to convince my 6 year old brother to be Henry VIII but apparantly he was having none of it….spoil sport haha
