Hi, folks! I've been visiting this site for some time now, but I didn't know until today that it included a forum! I love to talk about the Tudors, so I signed up right away!
I have a day job, but I write historical fiction at night. My work-in-progress, which is to be published next year, is set in Tudor England and features the Duchesses of Northumberland and the Duchesses of Suffolk (Frances Brandon Grey) as the main characters.
Looking forward to being on this forum!

Hello Susan,
I've only recently joined the forum, but that was mainly because I'm a bit of a technophobe and didn't know how.
I did an article on historical fiction recently, and criticised it due to some writers (Hirst and Gregory mainly) attacks on individual historical personalities, but I'm sure your fiction stays clear of Anne and George bashing! I'm really looking forward to your comments.
Best wishes,
Clare

Hi Susan and welcome. Are you the author of, Stolen Crown? I started it last night. It is so nice to have you join us.
I am looking forward to your views on the two Duchesses.

Thanks for the warm welcome, all! Yes, I did write The Stolen Crown. My latest is The Queen of Last Hopes, about Margaret of Anjou.
I'm fairly sympathetic to Anne Boleyn–I'm not one of her more passionate admirers, but I do get tired of seeing portrayals of her that appear to draw more from historical fiction than from historical sources. As for George, I would love to see a novel told from his point of view.
I see that the upcoming forum read is Threads–I'll have to download it to Mr. Kindle!

Louise/Clare,
Susan is a regular contributor to a Facebook page called The History Police where we have ranted and raved about various historical fiction books that have just churned out the old myths and legends, so she's definitely committed to being as accurate as possible. However, I do think we need to carry on with these Tudor spoofs, they were a big hit and they just show how appalling some historical fiction/TV shows can be.
