I was wondering if any of you had any information on this portrait of Anne I found via google image search.  I found the image on several sites.  I've never seen it before, and I don't know who painted it or when it was painted.  I know nothing about it at all.  So if anybody has information on it do share.  I really like this one.  I feel like she could start talking to me any minute.

That's beautiful but I've never seen it before so I haven't got any information to offer. You're right, she looks so real. Let us know if you do find out anything about the portrait.

I don't like it!  I think this is the most unattractive portrait of her I've ever seen.   It's good from an artist point of view she does look very real.

I did a bit of searching on google and found nothing.  Then I dug around the website I found it on.  According to the site it's an 18th century portrait, and it can be found at the English School.  Other than that I haven't been able to find any information on it.  Anyway, here's the links to the websites I found the portrait on.

You'll have to scroll down a bit on the second one.

I don't like it either. She looks mean, plus the head doesn't seem proportional to her body. Wonder if it's a photoshop.  The necklace also doesn't look like the \”B\”. The face style looks like drawings from much earlier. Wonder if it was miss-labled? Though clothing looks right.

You're very right about the proportions-they're all messed up.  From the website it said it's an 18th century painting of her, so they took liberty with what the other paintings portrayed her as.

P.S. Welcome MarkM!

Anne had A and HA necklaces too.  The necklace in the portrait appears to be a HA necklace.

I knew this before, but it just struck me as I read this that Anne was truly ahead of her time as much as Elizabeth was, promoting herself as a brand centuries before Calvin Klein thought of putting his name on everything. With those necklaces, she could promote herself as herself (Anne), or as a loyal member of the Boleyn faction, or a faithful, loving half of that romantic (naughty, scandalous) duo that was the buzz of all Europe long before Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. And we marvel that her daughter understood the importance of image and PR and how to manipulate them before most people had the words to describe what she was doing? Just a chip off the ole block, it seems.
