Hi Jay,

I was at the Tower of London last year on the 19th of May (Claire has aptly named it “Anne Boleyn day”). I was amazed that so few people there were aware that it was the anniversary of Anne's  death. I wrote a little and submitted some pictures. You can see the article on the main page, on the right under “Anne's Execution”. This year will be different, with the Anne Boleyn tour taking place. Maybe you have time free to come down to the Tower of London on the 19th of May?

Maybe by the 500th attitudes will have changed? As with the USA Today article, there is already a change of attitude, helped in no small way by our great leader Claire! Princess Diana's ancestry can be traced back to Anne's sister Mary, so if William or Harry ascend to the throne, could there be a direct descendant of Henry VIII on the Throne? How Deja vu would that be???

If it was not this, then it would be something else?

Diana Diana buried on “The Oval”, a small island on her childhood home “Althorpe”, in Northampton.

Copy and paste this link to see it.

I have often driven past where she died in Paris, Pont de L'alma Tunnel it is on the Periphèrique or inner ring road. there is a monument for war dead over head on street level and this has been the focal point for Diana Fans. I hope that I don't start a Diana thing in the wrong place on the Forum, however, I do think Diana was a little like Anne in some ways, certainly in the maverick department!

With a little luck, that gene got through to the Prince's and it might shine through in time? Do you remember the reactions to the “Reactions” that people in high places had? (Or lack of reaction!)

The people demanded the flags lowered, eventually they were

I think the Royal family were just so shell-shocked and didn't know how to react and what to do. I'll never forget Diana's funeral – I was in hospital after giving birth and watched it with a group of mums and we were all sobbing our hearts out, Diana really was the “People's Princess”.

Conspiracy theories abound about Diana's death but I think it was just an awful and tragic accident. So sad that a wonderful life was cut short, just like Anne's.
