As it’s party season and it’s also quite chilly in lots of countries at the moment, I thought I’d share this video I did as part of my “Tudor Cooking with Claire” series. It’s a lovely recipe and is perfect for a party or as just a warming drink, a nice alternative to mulled wine and it’s an authentic Tudor drink too!
- 1.5 litres of traditional real ale/stout/cider
- 6 small cooking apples, cored
- 1 nutmeg, freshly grated
- 1tsp ground ginger
- 150g brown sugar
Oven temperature: 120°C/250F/Gas Mark 1/2 to 1 (cool oven)
