This is something that has interested me. I have read that Eric XIV pursued Elizabeth even before she was queen, for several years and against his father’s wishes. He even went as far to propose to Mary Queen of Scots. I always do imagine what would’ve happened if Elizabeth decided to accept his proposal. She would’ve been queen of England as well as queen consort of Sweden. If Elizabeth bore him a son, he would’ve united both the English and Swedish thrones together. This would’ve have been very interesting. Does anyone have any more info about Elizabeth ad Eric as I am interested in their relationship.
