I wanted to be an Interior Decorator/Designer back in primary school – just loved pretty homes Relating to Anne Boleyn here now – I googled ‘the inside of Hever Castle’ images recently and it is soooo beautiful! I love the dining room decorations with the dark wood and lovely chairs with the twisted detail on them, and the sitting room with lots of pink sofas and blue accents and green curtains, and lots of nice wood everywhere

I wanted to be a zoologist. Ever since I learnt about it at the age of 11. It was my drive throughout high school, even went to university and majored in it. Then I realised that in theory I hated focusing on one prac for 3 hours, how the hell could i do that day in and day out (plus job opportunities were low). I didn’t want my uni studies to be a waste, so I looked at other options. Thats when I realised I enjoying helping others in uni years below me with their understanding of Science and decided to give teaching a go. And I have not looked back, I wouldn’t swap Science teaching for the world. A part of me would still love to give being a true zoologist ago, especially with the current situation I’ve been thrown into, but at the end of the day I love sharing my knowledge with others and I love making a difference to the next generation.

I wanted to be an archaeologist (too much Indiana Jones or something!). I did study social anthropology at uni. Now, at 28, I have no idea! I thought about doing a PhD, but jobs are scarce. So, it’s back to the drawing board. I am seriously thinking law…but I’d need to do well on the dreaded Law extrance exam!

Thank you Duchess of Brittany! That reminds me that the whole year in 6th grade I wanted to be an archaeologist lol. That was the first year we started learning about World History instead of just U.S. History. I think just the mystery behind it all intrigued me. What archaeologists find and what they do it was so interesting to me. Sometimes I still think I want to do that lol. The movie Timeline doesn’t help me fascination with it all!

Its so strange isn’t it how we are all asked very young at school what we want to do as a career..when so much happens in between and we change as people..I think most people deviate from their original path.
Duchess don’t worry..have you heard that quote (Baz Lurhman made a speech into a song I can’t quite remember what its called) but he claims ‘the most interesting people I know still don’t know what they want to do at 40’ …I think that is so true
