Hey Guys …….. I am looking at getting another tattoo and have been comtemplating a tudor rose.  Just wondered if any of you have any tattoos with a tudor theme?

No, I don't have any tattoos.  My brother has a few and that kinda put me off, LOL!  But a tudor rose would be awesome – so get it, get it, get it!  Laugh

I have a very small red rose with stem, leaves and thorns going up one side of my belly button. It is a reminder of England and of the Lancastrian red rose (I was born in Lancashire). Where are you thinking of having the tattoo?

I'm contemplating a new tattoo to commemorate finishing up treatment for breast cancer. A friend has suggested the really obvious 'angel on my shoulder', but it sounds boring unless someone could come up with a really neat twist on it. I've always thought about a Tudor-themed tat, but the 2 I already have are Celtic knotwork, so should I stay with the 'theme'? As for where, I think my left shoulder sounds good. Disclaimer – I'll be mulling this over for months before I actually do it. Wink

ETA: I think '2010' needs to be in there somewhere, even if just tucked in a corner. I was diagnosed in late January and this thing has done a very nice job of sucking up the entire year. I finished radiation last Friday and will have my other breast removed prophylactically Dec. 14 (kind of a really twisted Christmas present to myself?), so yeah… 2010 pretty much a write-off.

Carolyn, how about having the angel brandishing a sword?  “Battle won/2010.”  Or your motto: “Whatever it takes.”  Don't write this year off.  You vanquished a dreaded foe and you got the chance to visit England and France.  All in all, not a completely horrible year.

I have a tat on my right inside ankle.  Peace sign with roses entwined.

Clarebear, The Tudor wiki page has quite a few pictures of Tudor tats.
