Maggy, very sweet. Your story reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

There’s a saying in North Devon. If you can’t see Wales then it’s raining. If you can see Wales then it’s just about to start!

Certainly we’ve had some very adverse weather, that’s for sure. My son told me earlier that Worcester is flooded out and so is Upton.
The village where he lives is also flooded out again and the rain has been so bad the road has been washed away again..

It seems as if the whole country is being affected in different ways.. We’ve had very little rain here save for a few beefy rainstorms and the odd rumble of thunder. It’s just been very heavy and threatening. Doesn”t look like we are going to have much of a Summer this year does it?

I’m in Somerset and two rivers have burst their banks and flooded the surrounding villages. It’s been raining all day today, but yesterday was mostly sunny with a little shower here and there – that being said Sunday was the nicest day we’ve had in three weeks…

That’s the problem with storms; they’re always out to get you!
PS. It’s raining and I think I’m going down with trench foot.

It has been mainly night here today with some short glimpses of daylight. No rain but it is coming I can feel it in the air. I think we can be pretty sure of thunder to with the sky such a very dark grey colour. I imagineit is going to be real ding donger when it starts.

Margate. Wet and humid with the threat of heavy rain to come. Same country, different weather. Don’t you just love being in England? To tell the truth I was getting fed up with all the hot, dry weather, after all it had lasted for four days in a row!Wink

NYS- recovering from some horrific storms. Some tornados. None here though. Plenty of trees down.

It’s very gloomy here, but also very warm and oppressive, feel like I’m being squashed through the floorboards.
Yesterday however when everyone else was frazzling to a crisp in the heat however I was freezing, Poor old Dinosaur had to go upstairs in the end to try and get cool whilst I was sat down here with the quilt wrapped around me shivering and the blow heater on full blast…
My reynolds decided to have a funny 5 minutes and my hands and feet were blue with cold almost all day….

Here in Nottingham it is still very heavy and hot but there are clouds in the sky and I think the weather report is for rain again. It has been so hot these past days that sleeping has been difficult but we mustnt complain eh? Summer is summer after all and it does us all good even if it is a bit uncomfortable. I have been fighting with Douglas to get a share of the breeze from the fan. He hogs it all the time haha.

I just thought I’d make a polite request to see if anyone has a spare ark. I only ask because I think the British Isles are just about to sink.

It certainly seems that way Louise. I’ve heard that B&Q and Homebase have sold out of Wood, nails and hammers so those who haven’t already built their arks, are having to buy frogman’s flippers and snorkels.

Went into town this morning the Medway River looks like it will pop anytime now, if it does the newly built Bus Station will be awash with mud and other horrible things.

A freind of mine in Basingstoke is worried that his bungalow is going to get flooded out, tonight. He’s put sandbags out but he doesn’t hold out much luck of them from stopping the water, may slow it down a little but it won’t stop it.
Where is bloody King Canute when you need him. He reckoned he call turn the tide just by telling it to go away.
All I can think is that Mother Nature must be having one major strop, and is taking it out on us.. Perhaps the Holly king has upset her. Typical man they always find a way of getting up our bugle one way or another LOL..

Hey Guys — Sorry to hear about the flooding, with Spring approaching, the rain may not stop for some time. At least, that’s the time of year for the worst flooding here. I guess weather is going KRAZY world-wide! Terrible ice and snow in the deep south here. Here in Ky we had ice on everything for almost 2 weeks and temps in single digits at night, however, things are looking up for the middle of next week, temps actually gonna be close to 60, YAAAAA!!!!!Laugh

This morning we tuned into the BBC to see what the weather was in Britain, and they were reporting our weather here in the northeast. Go figure.
I hope you guys are safe and warm and somewhat dry! I did hear there may be an end to the storms there next week. I hope so.
I have a call in for you to Noah, Louise!
