I got 2 movies: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Elizabeth, 2 books: a New American Bible and The Life and Death of Anne Boleyn. I also got a cross necklace, socks, gloves, an alarm clock, flannel pjs, headfones, bath set, DVD player, Illinois shirt, clothing hook, and a Colts banner.

I got another watch (I\’m notorious for misplacing mine constantly), a sweater and gloves, flannel nightgown, and more word puzzle-type games for my Nintendo DS Lite. And some cash and tons of candy. And I got jewelry for myself, incl. the Siam pendant and earrings from here.

I also got tons of rain, but since I\’d be butt-deep in snow if it had been 10º colder, that was fine by me since I have to go to work in the morning and I\’d prefer not to need a snowmobile to do so. Especially since I don\’t have or want a snowmobile.

It rained cats and dogs here on Christrmas eve. It was also very windy. I wore a skirt to Mass Christmas eve, and when I walked out of the church into the wind I kinda had a Marilyn Monroe moment. LOL!

I got the David Starkey DVD Collection (Monarchy, Six Wives and Elizabeth), lots of jewellery from here, a fitness wii game, a Michael McIntyre DVD (Brit comedian), booze and the About Time board game (history based board game where you have to guess the date of certain events). This is the first Christmas ever where I haven’t had stacks of books because I told everyone I had piles of unread ones already!

It sounds like you all had some wonderful gifts. I’m glad you enjoyed Christmas. x

And my hubby bought me a Henry Vii mug with 'off with her head!!' on it! LOL

No tickets to the Anne Boleyn Trip from here though!! 🙁

Ooh Claire the About Time board game sounds like something I would do well at!  My sister got me one of the jewelry sets from here and it was my very favorite thing I received!  My Christmas gift to myself was more Anne Boleyn earrings.  And Hannah, if you are an Anne fan, you'll enjoy Joanna Denny's book, though the fact-checking, historical, rational mind will realize a lot of it is wishful thinking and revisionism.  Don't take that for scorn, though.  It's very pro-Anne.

Ainsi sera, groigne qui groigne.
