Hi does anyone have any tips on removing a Ribena stain?
I have been knitting a jumper and had left it on the side table on the pins. Made myself some Ribena sat it on the coaster also on that table, went upstairs for a minute, came back to findthe dog and cat ‘having a fun chase’ which involved knocking the drink over so my ‘not even finished yet jumper’ is cream with great purplish blodges!!!
Damn.
Pets grrrrrrrrrrrr

haha Sharon. It is a blackcurrant drink. Lovely.
As to the jumper I threaded my stitches etc and put the knitting to soak. It is fading but I think it is ruined to be honest as there is even now hours later still a darkness to the bits which caught it.
Damn damn damn.

Very brave Boleyn. Does your eldest daughter have a really sweet tooth? or is it the opposite way? I can’t remember

I’m sorry about your knitting. Okay, Rebina is a soft drink, and it sounds yummy. A soft drink here is a coke or a pepsi. Something carbonated. I don’t understand what you mean when you guys say you drink it neat. Here neat means straight. The phrase is associated with an alcoholic drink. Like a whiskey, neat. Means nothing added such as ice or soda. What do you do to a blackcurrent drink to make it not neat? And why?
No Neil, I don’t think you Brits are strange. Look at all I’m learning from you guys! I love it.

I comes in an undiluted state Sharon. Almost as thick as syrup you dilute with water to taste

I love Ribena, although I wouldn’t recommend it neat unless you want to scrape yourself off the ceiling with a spatula.
By the way. Maggyanne, as far as getting it off is concerned, have you tried a flamethrower?

I used to drink Ribena when I was a kid but now I find it very sweet. But the Ribena juice boxes are okay.

My daughter gets allsorts all over her clothes, including juice, which I use Ariel Stain Remover Gel for, it works really well. As does bleach since the colour in Ribena is natural I assume it would dissolve the pigment.

Sorry to sound like I’m selling something haha!
