Well I have taken the plunge as it were and put my writing into the createspace thing with amazon. It has to be all checked or whatever now so I don’t know when it will all come together but once I have a proof of it and am happy it is okay I will try the next step and put it on for kindle too.
It is very exciting. I found it to be a bit of an issue being in the UK when createspace is USA so there is a load of stuff about royalties and all that which they don’t make clear until you are well into the process but I am not expecting ‘royalties’ so not to worried I just want to have a book in my hand with MY name on it, even if it is rubbish in the end haha.
It turned out to be 262 pages in the end which I didn’t realise but a fair amount I think.
I will let you know how it all goes and wanted to say thank you all so much for the support you gave me and the encouragement to have a go.
I am going to dig out some of my other tales now and see what I can do with them. I might start with Elizabeth on the Floor which I began ages ago.
It has all brightened me up though which has been such a good thing as I have been very down a lot of the time.
So anyway thank you all for being so lovely.Laugh

Maggyanne,
That is great news. Good luck to you. 262 pages is a good sized book. The support was easy to give. You have a fine talent for writing. It’s good to hear that by doing this your days have been brightened. Smile

Congrats Maggyann! I think that’s just the greatest. I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read so far, so as Sharon said, the support was easy to give. Smile

Thank you all.
It is now ‘live’ on the createspace thingie but but I think it takes some time to actually ‘be’ anywhere.
I am quite thrilled with myself haha.
I am setting up a website now and getting to work on my other stories of which I have who knows how many in my laptop at various stages.
Now I have got the bug so want to have at least 5 titles to put on my bookshelf. Haha it doesn’t hurt to have something to aim for eh?
I was amazed at how painless the whole process was so would encourage any of you who like to write to have a go and get it made into a book by createspace. So easy to follow and exciting.

i used to love to love to write but it always came out full of Mary-Sueness. I’m always in awe of people who can write without falling into fanfic traps.

It's always bunnies.

Well to be honest I don’tthink it would be fair of me to expect any of you to pay for a copy, haha, it is not that sort of book really. I just used Createspace to make it into one so my friends like H in Colorado and my cousins in Scotland and what have you can get themselves one. Many of you have already started reading it so I know if it was me I’d be annoyed if I got one cake off the plate and not offered another one…grrr.

So if you are happy to have a pdf then pm message me with an email address to send to and I’ll pop one over. If that is okay with Claire of course.

And Bella I am so glad you felt a pang of sympathy for the old boy, that is basically why I have written the story as it is. I do feel sorry for him for some reason, always have. Not that I don’t feel all the normal disgust for so much he done but I do feel for him too.

Thanks for the offer Maggy, although it looks fantastic and well worth paying for!
It’s funny I’ve always felt a bit of pity for Henry too. But I’m always at a loss as to why.

Maggy, the parts you have written here are a lovely tease. If you are putting it out as an e-book, I would certainly pay for it. I can’t find it in my heart to pity Henry or feel anything but contempt for him, but your interpretation leaves me wondering. Maybe……….just maybe. Can we buy it, and if so, how?

Oh my nose is filled with the aroma of a new book. haha
The first copy of Henry’s Defence has just arrived and it smells lovely.

That was all very quick in the end. What brilliant service from createspace.

I can I can never find words to say what I want to, let alone come up with a plot and enough thoughts to make a book. Congrats!
