Just bursting with excitement as I'm going to Hever Castle in April!, I haven't been to Hever Castle for almost twenty years and I seriously can't wait. This will be my third visit and I'm just soooo excited as I will be able to show my 12 year old daughter why this place has such a special place in my heart
My daughter is currently covering the Tudors at school and has a project to do on Henry V111 so this is gonna be awesome as this is somewhere my husband and I love.
I seriously am like “How many sleeps?”, lol! We booked the hotel last night (Going for 4 days) and I was so excited I couldn't sleep last night….bet you all think I'm crazy, lol!

Although I admit I'm hugely jealous of you right this moment…Congrats! LOL- I haven't been there yet (Only been out of Ohio once when I was, like, 2 ) but I do plan on going sometime in the future and i'll cherish it forever. I have even been planning on maybe living in England for a while because of how completely in love with it I am. I also want to visit France and Germany because my father is full German.
• Grumble all you like, this is how it’s going to be.

I’m back!
I had THE most amazing time at Hever Castle, it was like a dream
I’ll try and get some pics up today if I can but I’m fairly busy catching up with everything.
Hever Castle was so much better than I remember 20 years ago, the gardens are breathtaking and they have so much more to see and do than last time…AMAZING!
I’ll write about my trip when I can

Mark, Louisa and I had THE most amazing time at Hever ;D
The weather was kind to us and we had the most gorgeous cakes and tea in the restaraunt.
Mark and I hadn’t been to Hever for nearly twenty years and going back was like going for the first time as it was so different, even better than the first time!
The gardens at Hever are unbelievable I’m no gardener but even I can see the work put into them as they are breathtaking.
The castle is magical ;D I was like “Anne could have stood here” “Wow Henry walked through here” It is quite hard to take it in as you walk around and when I saw Anne’s bed as I touched it I couldn’t help but get a little choked up.
I wish I could have taken you all with me as it would have been such fun.
It was hard to get your head around the fact that Henry and Anne had seen what I was looking at stood where I was standing……..
With my hand on my heart I didn’t “Feel” Anne there but when I went into Henry’s bedroom I could feel alot of love there which suprised me. Hever does feel very much a home though and when walking outside I could easily imagine Anne, Mary and George running around laughing
Mark and Louisa tried their hand at archery which they both really enjoyed. Mark said after how much skill it would take to actually hit a live animal running at a goood pace, difficult!
Whilst on holiday I went into the Hever church and paid my respects to Thomas Boleyn and family. Hever church is so pretty and very peaceful.
We’ve bought an Anne Boleyn rose and a Hever Castle rose from Hever’s gardens I have pictures so I’ll post them soon as I haven’t downloaded them yet.
I had a truly wonderful day and I hope you enjoy my pics
