Hey everyone,

(Sorry I don't know which thread I want to post this topic) Confused

How are you all doing?? 🙂 Wow it looks like my wish is coming true at last, yay! I and Mum are going to attend a family reunion (aunties and uncles, cousins I never had met before) in England.

We are leaving for England on 7th August 2011 for 3 weeks and back home to New Zealand on 29th August 2011! I am soo excited because I had been wanting to visit England and now I am going there for the first time, yahoo!

I and Mum will be visiting London and Ireland for sight-seeing. My wish had come true, hehe. Soo excited and can't wait for August! Six more months to go!

I can't wait to visit the Tower of London and Hever Castle! So excited! 😀

Some AnneBoleyn members on this forum (whom I am friends with on Facebook) are really happy for me when I told them the good news and they think it's really fanastic for me to go on the trip to London for the first time so their kind words are really appericated so thank you, guys! 🙂 *hugs*

I will remember to take lots of photos and write in a journal about my trip. Wink

From Sarah

P.S: Claire, is it okay to keep this thread open so I want to post stuff about what I did on my trip in London?

My name is Sarah. I am deaf :)

I love London. I think it's four times I've been now. Make sure you go to Westminster- it's beautiful there. I've never been to Hever before, so that's on my lish of things to see. I hope you enjoy your visit! I'll probably be down again this year arond October and for the Royal wedding! *cyber hug*:)

I wish to confess to you and tell you my secret, which is that I am no angel. -Queen Elizabeth I

I'm very happy for you. You must be beyond excited.  Living the dream.  Take notes…lots of them.  And lots of pictures.  We will be expecting a day by day report of where you went and what you saw.

Jealous!!  My husband and I have been to London twice, and never for long enough.  The Tower of London is amazing–and if you get the chance, take the London Walks Jack the Ripper tour.  It was AMAZING (not Tudor, I know, but still fascinating!!)–which reminds me, that if you have time and you want to go on some walking tours which aren't crazy expensive, check out London Walks.  My husband and I took several tours last time we were there (including the Haunted London tour which was also awesome).  Westminster=beautiful!

Post lots of pictures!!!

Thanks Sharon – all my relatives are safe but just got in contact with my aunt today, they just got the power back on and landlines and cell phone coverage has been spotty at best so its been a bit of a mission to get in touch with people.

Just can't believe the devastation this earthquakes caused, nearly 100 people dead and loads more still trapped and all those beautiful old buildings reduced to a pile of rubble… Frown

Sarah, I do hope you're okay!!!!!!

Hey Sharon and Bella,

Thanks for the words of concern 🙂 I am okay and luckily I don't live in Christchurch. I live on North Island. I have friends and a cousin who live in Christchurch but thanks goodness they are okay. Thanks again for these words, Sharon and Bella. *hugs*

Good to hear your friends are okay – I've got relatives there too and its been a frantic couple of days trying to make sure they're all safe (which they are thank goodness!)

Phew is right!  Good to hear your families are okay. The devastation looked so massive on TV.  It didn't look like anyone could have made it through untouched.  It's good to know they are safe.

The devastation is massive, particularly in the central city.  Some wonderful old churches and buildings have been completely totalled.  And the death toll keeps climbing higher  Frown

I hate earthquakes.
