I hope so too  Frown    Especially since the situation seems to be becoming ever more violent and bloody.  I've even heard reports of looters ripping the heads off ancient mummies.

Hope you're okay Allison

I hope Alison is okay. It must be terrifying in Egypt right now. I fear the violence and bllodshed will continue. I just pray for a peaceful resolution, but I am not sure if that is possible at this stage.

BBC News were reporting that the Egyptian government were trying to restrict Facebook and Twitter and possibly other internet services too.

It's always bunnies.

I hope Allison is safe.  Hopefully, Egypt's unrest can be resolved peacefully, but that doesn't look very promising at the present time.  I can't imagine what it must be like to be in the middle of such violence.

And Alyssa, you got out just in time!

I felt sick when I heard this story on both CBC and CTV news yesterday. I hope these artefacts can be recovered, but in my heart of hearts, I highly doubt it.

On CTV news yesterday, Dr. Hawass noted that the objects stolen would be impossible to sell on the black market. His theory is that a rouge collection wanted particular objects in the musuem, and paid some thieves to steal them.

Regardless, I feel so sad that any piece of Egyptian cultural heritage is destroyed. I pray the people of Egypt wil find a peaceful way to a freer society than they've known. God bless the people of Egypt.

For the most part, Egypt had a peaceful revolution.  Not often do we see that these days.  They should be very proud of their accomplishment.  Hopefully, they will have a peaceful transition to a new democracy.  They deserve a free and open society.
