Has anyone heard of it, or heard of the author? I just finished it and I LOVED it. I am going to go buy the rest of the series and was just wondering about everyone else's thoughts.

I read it a couple months ago and really enjoyed it. I like how she wrote an almost entirely fictional story but managed to still include facts.

I agree. I tend to think that most books about historical spies end up bad and fairly cliche, but this one worked! The characters seemed very real to me, and it helped that Honor Thornleigh interacted a lot with real people too.

I loved this book. I found Kyle's writing to be strong, excellent plot, interesting, rounded characters, and a plausible fictional story intertwinned with facts. I read it a couple of years ago when I found it at my local library. I must admit I was sceptical, but thought I give it a try. I agree with Boleynfan: the story worked on so many levels. But, the best was Honor herself. She was believable, compassionate, intelligent, and a woman of her time. She was a likable heroine, flawed, but likable.

Kyle has written a sequal to The Queen's Lady  titled The King's Daughter. I've not read it yet, but it's on my to read list.
