It is truly a sad day. Dr. Ives was of one of the great historians of the modern era. I never met Ives, but I trusted his opinion’s and research emphatically. He showed what true scholarship was, and his book on Anne Boleyn changed my life. He brought a maligned woman out of the shadows, and brought her to life. He has left an amazing legacy. RIP Dr. Ives. You will be sadly missed.

I agree with you Duchess; it is a sad day. His work on Anne really is second to none but his book on Lady Jane Grey is the one that helped me to make sense of the often times bizarre events of 1553. His passing has really left a huge void in the Tudor history world.
I do hope he’s chatting with Queen Anne in the afterlife as I write this
