Hi

As some of you know I wrote a novel called The Jenny Wilson Show which had Henry VIII and his six wives appearing on a post-life TV chat show. I've had some really good feedback so I've decided to go ahead and publish it as a proper, hold in your hand book.

The book is all laid out and just needs me to proof read it (in case any words have disappeared!). But I'm struggling about what to do with the cover.

Most historical novels have some kind of picture of the characters on the front but I don't want to confuse people into thinking it's a 'straight' historical novel. So I was thinking of doing something different – maybe something Warhol-esque – but would you, as readers of Tudor-inspired fiction, be put off by something like that?

Any ideas welcome!

My first thought was to have the wives round Henry in the style of  The Brady Bunch.

It's always bunnies.

You could have Henry VIII dressed like Dale Winton from Supermarket Sweep, except his shopping cart if full of wives!

Yeah, I think it should be something slightly cartoon like and quite comical. So great that you have decided to publish Smile

Well, it's all down to you guys giving me the feedback! I like the cartoon idea and I'm not sure I'll ever get the thought of Dale Winton as Henry out of my head…!!!

Blimey is Supermarket Sweep still being shown? The Programme is years old. It hasn’t been shown on UK TV for years.
However got to laugh I can just see Dale Winton as Henry, very camp. Could see him tickling his courtiers with a feather duster, and having Ken Dodd for his jester.

Dame Edna Everage as Katherine of Aragon.
Lily Savage as Anne Boleyn.
Julian Clary as Jane Seymour.
Danny La Rue as Anne of Cleves.
Madonna as Katherine Howard.
Larry Grayson as Katherine Parr.

Aww but Kenny Everret is too endearing! I would say Marty Feldman? In a blonde wig??
