I need reviews on a few books i got at the Library asap pleaseee..

1. The children of Henry VIII by Alison Weir.

2. The wives of Henry VIII by Antonia Fraser.

3. Catherine the Queen by Mary M. Luke.

4. Bloody Mary By Carolly Erickson.

At my library though i looked everywhere for specifically Anne Boleyn books and they have none! They have Mary I, tons of Elizabeth I, a handfull of Henry VIII books, Like 2 Katherine of Aragon and none on Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Kathryn Howard, and Katherin Parr. It sucks big time!

But if you've read any of these please tell me if they're worth the read or just a bunch of myths trying to be facts because i'm kinda skeptical on Weir books….

Please & Thank you !

I enjoyed both 1 and 2. Haven't read the others yet.

Mya,

I've read 1, 2, and 4. I enjoyed both 1 and 2. They were interesting reads. The Children of Henry VIII is one of the better Weir books, and she does discuss Lady Jane Grey, which was nice since she is often neglected. If you can find Leanda De Lisle, she wrote an amazing book on the Grey sisters.

I did not like 4. I feel there are better biographies on Mary Tudor out there (ie. David Loades).

Happy reading!

Yeah well it was the only Mary Tudor book at my nearest library (stupid, right?). I'll just try this Mary Tudor book and look a little harder for the one you recommended. Thnks. : )
