What are everyone's favourite lines or scenes from this amazing film?
I LOVE the tower scene Smile

Anne: But Elizabeth is yours. Watch her as she grows; she's yours. She's a Tudor! Get yourself a son off of that sweet, pale girl if you can – and hope that he will live! But Elizabeth shall reign after you! Yes, Elizabeth – child of Anne the wh*re and Henry the Blood-Stained Lecher – shall be Queen! And remember this: Elizabeth shall be a greater queen than any king of yours! She shall rule a greater England than you could ever have built! Yes – MY Elizabeth SHALL BE QUEEN! And my blood will have been well spent!

Anne: For six years, this year, and this, and this, and this, I did not love him. And then I did. Then I was his. I can count the days I was his in hundreds.

Anne: . The days we bedded. Married. Were Happy. Bore Elizabeth. Hated. Lusted. Bore a dead child… which condemned me… to death. In all one thousand days. Just a thousand. strange. And of those thousand, one when we were both in love, only one, when our loves met and overlapped and were both mine and his. And when I no longer hated him, he began to hate me. Except for that one day.

Power is as exciting as love: Anne speaking to her brother George regarding Henry's pursuit of her.

Next time: Anne's rather poignant two words, following the birth of Elizabeth, to a disappointed Henry, who had longed for a son.

God, I love this movie. It is such a spectacle to watch. Burton and Bujold light up the screen with such raw sexual chemistry. (I can understand Elizabeth Taylor's distress). I can, ironically, over look the inaccuracies (which I cannot do with other films) and see the beautiful and tragic story unfold.

I cannot pin down on favourite scene, but Anne chastising Henry in the Tower is why Bujold should have won the Oscar! But, I digress. The passione Bujold gave in that performance brought tears to my eyes. Thanks Sophie for posting the entire dialogue. Great stuff.

I do love the relationship between Anne and George in this film. There was an honesty and closness to their relationship that if often overlooked in other dramatisations.

The scene where Anne gives birth to Elizabeth, not the longed for son. The sadness of that scene was so poignant.

The end scene always sticks in my mind, when Henry is out hunting and hears the cannon to signify Anne's execution, without emotion he turns to one of his courtiers and says, ” to Mistress Seymour's “, or words to that effect. I think that summary of a cold hearted and calculating Henry has never been bettered in such a concise manner.

I love the scene where she berates Henry while they've gone riding. “You're spoiled and bloody and vengeful.”

Also love how she faces Cardinal Wolsey “Although I am just a girl, you will know you have an enemy.”

Forgive me if I didn't quote these lines perfectly.

King Henry VIII: If some young man wrote this song for you, Anne, what would you say to him?
Anne: I would ask him if his wife liked it, Your Grace.

AHAHA i love this quote, how she managed to get away with what she said to henry, anyone else would have got a cuff or be sent away from court !!!!

AHAHA another good one ….

Anne: You make love as you eat, with a great deal of noise and no subtlety!

King Henry VIII: I think nothing but you. Of you and me playing dog and bitch, of you and me playing horse and mare. Of you and me in every way. I want to fill you up night after night. I want to fill you up with sons.
Anne: Bastards! They would be bastards!

I love the pure raw passion and sexual chemistry in these lines!

Sophie, you brightened my day by quoting these lines. I am horrible with remembering movie lines.

These lines are so raw and real; you can sense the chemisty between Burton and Bujold. Such a great movie. I love it! I could not imagine this film without its two leads. No way would these lines be as good with any other actor from that era.

I only very recently saw this movie, and despite it's various flaws and inaccuracies, I loved it =D There are so many awesome quotes to choose from! But my favourite is definitely the “I would ask him if his wife liked it, Your Grace” line – and the way Genevieve delivered it was simply flawless! Such a brilliant actress. =)

Anne: It is true. I was unfaithful to you with all of them. With half your court. With soldiers of your guard, with grooms, with stablehands. Look for the rest of your life at every man that ever knew me and wonder if I didn't find him a better man than you!
King Henry VIII: You wh*re!

Only Anne could ever say this to Henry!  These lines are so Anne Laugh

I loved this movie and every line in it except the parts where Henry condems Anne.

I love the tower scene. I like when Cardinal Wolsey comes to Henry to tell him he cannot get the divorce and Anne laughs, very tauntingly, and says 'Poor Henry'. I just love how Anne is always talking back and replying with in a sarcastic/smart ass way.
