Hi there,

My name is Vivian, 19 years old (20 in a month) and from the Netherlands. I have been incredibly fascinated by everything Tudor-related for quite some time now, I believe it’s about four years ago when I first started watching The Tudors and became intrigued by it. It took a few years until my fascination with the actual history started, but as of now I know quite a lot about Henry VIII and his queens and children. I don’t really know why, but I am mainly obsessed with Anne: she’s definitely my favourite and I am just kind of pulled to everything that has anything to do with her. I’ve also developed some pretty strong opinions of my own on her life and personality. In my day to day life, I am studying to become a Dutch teacher and spending my free time on reading (mostly historical fiction), writing (dito), watching tv shows and, of course, researching Anne and the Tudors. I am currently working on my first novel of historical fiction (I’m not published or such, it’s just a passion but I definitely want to try and take it out there someday) about four young women who serve as ladies in waiting to all of Henry’s queens and kids. Lots of research, but I’m definitely loving it and this site is really really helping me a lot!

Anne Boleyn: just a strong woman with incredible dignity who lived in an era that didn't approve of that.

Good for it Vivian, this site is very good for helping budding writers. Our Patroness Claire Ridgeway is an amazing writer and her books are straightforward and imformative. Another one of our members has recently publish a book about George Boleyn, a book I’ve got comming hopefully tommorrow good old amazon..
When you write your book, here are some tips.
1 Take your time, you will edit it a hundred times or more anyway.
2. take a pad and pen with you everywhere, ideas for storylines will come to you at all sorts of odd times.
3 It’s easy to get frustrated, if you feel like that, save it and close the programme. and leave it alone for a few days.
4 Read everything you can about your chosen subject fiction and non fiction.
5 Have fun with it, it helps if you have a good imagination, don’t get too carried away with details it’s a fictional novel,
not factual. although remember to check if the things you are putting into your book were around in that century,
although SWMNBN seems to enjoy hysterical historical novels It’s a wonder she hasn’t written one that says Anne was taken to her coronation in a double decker bus driven by Elvis Presley. (Not to self ) Shut your gob Boleyn SWMNBN might be reading this….
